I am very happy to take commissions. This could be a portrait, landscape, a picture of your house, or any other subject of your choice.
I work from photos, either provided by you, or I will arrange to visit to take photos myself (the travel costs for this to be confirmed and agreed in advance).

I work in oil or acrylic on canvas, or in pencil on paper, and I’m happy to work in various sizes.
Once we’ve discussed your requirements I will quote for the cost of the commission, framing, delivery and expenses.
A 50% deposit is required before I start on the commission, and then the balance paid before delivery of the work.
I will confirm timescales when I quote for the commission, however as a guideline a commission may take between 4 to 8 weeks, and possibly longer for very large or complex work. If you have specific timescale requirements, please let me know and I will do my best to work within these.
The price of a commission depends on the size and complexity of the work. As a general guide a 50cm x 40cm head and shoulder portrait in oil would start at £800 unframed (excluding delivery and expenses).
Works in pencil start at £150 unframed (excluding delivery and expenses).
I am happy to organise the framing of the work through the picture framer I use (Lesley..), however you may wish to organise the framing of the work yourself to suite the location in which you are going to hang the work.
For each work of art I retain the reproduction rights, a collector cannot reproduce the piece as an artist print or a giclee print and sell it.
Shipping takes approximately a week in the UK but unfortunately it might take up to 2 months in Europe, unless the client is happy for me to book an express delivery (price will be specified in the budget). For overseas shipping there may be additional charges/ taxes/ fees payable by the client on receipt of the work.
